Sr. Software Development Engineer (Applied ML)-Hardware Product Design

What you'll do

• Own ML systems end-to-end for ADL’s machining and design workflows.
• Architect multi-component AI workflows ensuring debuggability as the system evolves.
• Work with 3D geometric data to integrate geometry directly into models.
• Select appropriate modeling approaches based on specific problem requirements.
• Establish robust evaluation strategies that handle real-world data complexities.
• Communicate technical trade-offs and limitations clearly to diverse audiences.

What we're looking for

• 7+ years of experience in building ML systems in production settings.
• Strong Python skills and fluency with modern foundation models (LLMs, VLMs).
• Full-lifecycle ML experience from problem framing to deployment.
• Hands-on experience designing agentic AI systems and their evaluation frameworks.
• Comfortable collaborating with non-ML domain experts and translating tacit expertise into modeling decisions.
• Experience working with 3D geometric data formats or 3D libraries preferred.
