Senior Software Development Engineer, Applied ML, Hardware Product Design

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end ML systems from problem framing through deployment for machining and manufacturing workflows.
• Architect multi-component AI workflows involving models, agents, and rule-based components that remain debuggable over time.
• Process 3D geometric data and CAD files as primary inputs for machine learning models.
• Select and implement the appropriate modeling approach, including classical ML, deep learning, or generative AI.
• Establish evaluation and monitoring strategies to ensure system reliability when handling messy real-world data.
• Translate the tacit expertise of manufacturing experts into technical requirements and modeling decisions.
• Communicate complex system behaviors and trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree plus , Master's plus , or PhD plus experience in a relevant analytical field like CS, Math, or Engineering.
• Experience building machine learning systems in production or applied settings.
• Strong Python skills and fluency with the standard machine learning stack.
• Practical experience using and evaluating modern foundation models like LLMs and VLMs in production environments.
• Full-lifecycle ML experience including problem framing, data work, training, evaluation, and iteration with real users.
• Hands-on experience designing or extending agentic AI systems and their corresponding evaluation frameworks.
• Ability to collaborate with non-ML domain experts to translate tacit expertise into modeling decisions.
• Familiarity with 3D geometric data formats, libraries, or algorithmic depth relevant to manufacturing software is preferred.
