The Sr. Software Dev Engineer, Leo AI Foundations joins the Leo AI Foundations team to build the intelligent cloud backbone for a low Earth orbit satellite network. What you'll do

Architect and implement a scalable, cost-optimized S3-based Data Lakehouse for structured and unstructured data.
Build a scalable, cost-performance-optimized OLAP-based analytics layer to support near real-time queries.
Architect a globally distributed vector database infrastructure capable of managing billions of embeddings with sub-100ms retrieval.
Design and implement hybrid search strategies combining dense vectors with sparse representations for semantic retrieval.
Develop intelligent orchestration for metrics generation workflows with comprehensive audit trails.
Design semantic data models that balance analytical performance with AI retrieval requirements.
Implement robust data quality frameworks with staging-first policies and automated validation pipelines.
Establish automated compliance validation frameworks to ensure data handling meets security standards.

What we're looking for

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or granted asylum.
5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
5+ years of full software development life cycle experience (preferred).
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent (preferred).
