What you'll do

Architect and implement a scalable, cost-optimized S3-based Data Lakehouse for structured and unstructured data.

Design and manage a globally distributed vector database infrastructure for high-speed embedding retrieval.
Develop hybrid search strategies combining dense vectors with sparse representations for optimized semantic retrieval.
Establish automated data quality frameworks including staging-first policies and validation pipelines.
Create semantic data models that balance analytical performance with AI retrieval requirements.
Implement cross-domain federated query capabilities using advanced optimization techniques.
Build cloud services and APIs to orchestrate intelligent operations across satellite and ground systems.

What we're looking for

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status for export control compliance.
5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language.
5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
5+ years of full software development life cycle experience (preferred).
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent (preferred).
