Software Development Engineer, Leo AI Foundations

What you'll do

• Develop multi-agent AI systems to analyze telemetry and detect anomalies across satellite, ground gateway, and customer terminal networks.
• Build automated workflows to triage system issues, escalate critical problems, and generate actionable insights for operations teams.
• Implement reinforcement learning-based agents to optimize system performance based on network demand and environmental constraints.
• Create natural language interfaces and RAG systems combining real-time telemetry with historical data for context-aware interactions.
• Design and implement a scalable S3-based Data Lakehouse with automated metadata management and lineage tracking.
• Build high-performance OLAP analytics layers to achieve low single-digit-second query responses across distributed systems.
• Develop globally distributed vector database infrastructure with sub-100ms retrieval times for operational metrics.
• Establish evaluation frameworks and automated testing pipelines to measure agent performance, accuracy, and reliability.

What we're looking for

• Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status for export control compliance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems including patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• 1+ years of experience developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience including coding standards, code reviews, and source control management.
