Software Development Engineer, Leo AI Foundations

What you'll do

• Design and implement multi-agent AI systems to analyze telemetry and detect anomalies across the satellite constellation.
• Build agentic workflows to autonomously triage system issues and generate actionable insights for operations teams.
• Develop reinforcement learning-based agents to optimize system performance based on network demand and operational constraints.
• Build natural language interfaces and RAG systems combining real-time telemetry with historical documentation.
• Design and implement a scalable S3-based Data Lakehouse with automated data classification and lineage tracking.
• Implement scalable OLAP-based analytics components to achieve low single-digit-second query responses.
• Deploy globally distributed vector database infrastructure with sub-100ms retrieval times for operational metrics.
• Create cloud services and APIs to orchestrate software simulations on satellites, ground gateways, and customer terminals.

What we're looking for

• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted as a refugee or granted asylum.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience for new and existing systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of experience developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
