JOB TITLE: Sr. Scrum Master
The Sr. Scrum Master joins the ONCO Cancer Diagnostics division to establish Scrum practices and drive team effectiveness. This role focuses on building self-managing teams by promoting a culture of empiricism, transparent inspection, and continuous enhancement. Key responsibilities include enabling the Product Owner to maintain prioritized backlogs, helping developers grasp the Scrum framework and small batch thinking, and removing organizational impediments. The successful candidate will utilize advanced forecasting models and interpret delivery-based metrics like throughput, cycle time, and defect rates. Required skills include proficiency with Jira or Azure DevOps, expertise in Scrum and Kanban methodologies, and experience in change management. The role serves as a teacher, coach, and facilitator to transform ideas into valuable increments within a complex healthcare diagnostics environment.
Establish and maintain Scrum standards including events, Definition of Ready, and Definition of Done.
Assist the Product Owner in maintaining a prioritized backlog and forecasting delivery timelines.
Coach the development team on Scrum framework principles, small batch thinking, and testing.
Identify and remove organizational impediments that block the team from making progress.
Utilize advanced forecasting models and metrics like throughput and cycle time to analyze delivery.
Facilitate team conflict resolution and guide the group through transparent inspection and adaptation.
Drive the adoption of agile ways of working and an agile mindset across the organization.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or a High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of relevant experience.
Proficiency with Agile tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
Demonstrated understanding of Scrum theory, rules, practices, and Agile methodologies including Kanban.
Demonstrated understanding of iterative and incremental development fundamentals.
Demonstrated expertise in agile metrics, reporting, and analytical and strategic thinking.
Experience in change management and associated best practices.
3+ years of experience in a Scrum Master role or equivalent (preferred); possession of advanced certifications like Professional Scrum Master II (preferred).
