The engineer will select and calibrate field instrumentation, perform FAT/SAT testing, and troubleshoot systems to support 24/7 manufacturing operations. Key technical requirements include proficiency in Siemens TIA Portal, SCADA development, HMI, and industrial protocols like Profinet and EtherCAT. Candidates must navigate complex environments involving vacuum deposition and etching processes while ensuring compliance with NEC, NFPA, and UL508A standards. The role focuses on solving high-pressure fluid and gas distribution challenges within a high-volume manufacturing environment for space applications.
Design, implement, and maintain automation systems including PLC programming and SCADA development for gas farm and wastewater operations.
Develop and program PLC control logic, PID loops, and interlocks for real-time monitoring of pressure, temperature, flow, and pH.
Select, calibrate, and integrate field instrumentation in hazardous environments while ensuring compliance with SIL, ATEX, and EPA regulations.
Lead commissioning, FAT/SAT testing, and troubleshooting of control systems to minimize downtime and support 24/7 operations.

What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or a chemical discipline.
5+ years of experience with fluids/systems manufacturing, controls and automation, and/or programming.
Experience designing and maintaining PLC control logic, PID loops, and SCADA systems for gas farm and wastewater operations.
Expertise in selecting, calibrating, and integrating field instrumentation in hazardous environments compliant with SIL, ATEX, and EPA/NPDES regulations.
Ability to design electrical systems compliant with NEC, NFPA, and UL508A regulations.
Experience with industrial software including Siemens TIA Portal, HMI, SCADA, IoT protocols (MQTT, OPC-UA), and field bus networks.
Expertise in hazardous process environments such as aerospace, oil and gas, or chemical industries involving high pressure or hazardous fluids/gases.
