What you'll do

  • Design and implement automation systems for gas farm operations including vaporizers, storage, and transfer systems.
  • Develop PLC control logic and PID loops to optimize real-time monitoring of parameters like pressure, temperature, flow, pH, and effluent quality.
  • Select and integrate field instrumentation in hazardous environments ensuring compliance with safety standards such as SIL, ATEX, and EPA/NPDES regulations.
  • Lead commissioning and FAT/SAT testing for control systems, performing root cause analysis to minimize downtime and support 24/7 operations.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues in control systems, providing rapid alarm response and maintaining safe instrumentation and process design.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of experience in fluids/systems manufacturing and controls automation.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or a chemical discipline.
  • Expertise in hazardous process handling in industries like aerospace or oil and gas.
  • PLC programming skills, preferably with Siemens TIA Portal structured text + ladder.
  • Experience with field bus networks, serial communication, Profinet, and Ethernet communications.
  • Ability to design, implement, and maintain automation systems including SCADA development.
  • Proficient in selecting, calibrating, and integrating field instrumentation for hazardous environments.
