What you'll do

  • Lead a team of software engineers in developing cloud-based, full-stack mission applications for national security.
  • Serve as the primary authority for software architecture and design across front-end, back-end, data, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Build and integrate microservices, APIs, and data pipelines to transform disparate data into actionable insights.
  • Develop custom algorithms and analytic services to support decision-making and situational awareness.
  • Conduct make/buy analyses to evaluate commercial solutions, including cloud services and COTS/GOTS components.
  • Design and implement user-facing components such as dashboards and UIs for automated and manual consumers.
  • Manage the full software engineering lifecycle, including design, development, integration, testing, deployment, and operations.

What we're looking for

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Active Top Secret clearance is required.
  • A B.S. in Computer Science or Engineering with 8 years of programming experience, an M.S. with 6 years, or a Ph.D. with 4 years is required.
  • Demonstrated experience developing software solutions using Python, C, or C++ is required.
  • Proven experience leading teams of 2 to 8 software engineers is required.
  • Proven experience in the full lifecycle of software engineering and integrating commercial products into custom solutions is required.
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science or Engineering (preferred).
  • Experience with cloud environments, Agile methodology, or SysML/UML tools (preferred).
