What you'll do

  • Design and implement cloud-hosted microservices, APIs, and data pipelines for decision support workflows.
  • Develop and integrate custom algorithms for optimization, analytics, and automated reasoning.
  • Build and maintain full-stack software architecture across front-end, back-end, data, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Create web-based user interfaces that integrate with backend processes and databases.
  • Produce knowledge services and data products for automated and manual consumers via scalable APIs.
  • Perform make/buy analyses to evaluate commercial solutions, cloud services, and COTS/GOTS components.
  • Manage the full software engineering lifecycle including testing, deployment, and operations of fielded systems.
  • Lead development of major application components and mentor junior engineers.

What we're looking for

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance is required.
  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 2 years of programming experience; or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field; or Ph.D. in a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience developing software solutions using Python, C, or C++.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating commercial software products as part of a custom software solution.
  • Proven experience with the full lifecycle of software engineering including the operations and maintenance of fielded systems.
  • Experience leading development of an important part of an application and mentoring more junior engineers.
  • Active SCI security clearance (preferred); Advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (preferred).
