Senior Principal HPC Linux Systems Administrator

What you'll do

• Manage the full HPC system life cycle including concept, design, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
• Monitor HPC system health and metrics to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Modify system-wide parameters to improve performance and evaluate the effects of those changes.
• Assist software developers and engineers in installing, debugging, and optimizing software within the HPC environment.
• Scan, patch, and harden the computing environment to meet specific customer requirements and cybersecurity policies.
• Develop and maintain backup strategies and disaster recovery frameworks for critical systems.
• Establish and enforce procedures for account management, file permissions, and security access.
• Develop and publish technical standards and SOPs while serving as a senior liaison to the ISSM.

What we're looking for

• Must have a Master's degree with 6 years of experience, a Bachelor's with 8 years, an Associate's with 10 years, or a High School diploma with 12 years.
• Must possess a current US Government Secret level security clearance.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Top Secret security clearance and Special Programs access.
• Must have a Security+ CE or higher certification.
• Must have experience configuring, administering, and maintaining Red Hat or other Linux systems.
• Must have experience operating and managing systems within NISPOM, DCID 6/3-ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG environments.
• Must have experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current HPC systems.
• Must be able to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds and work after hours or weekends as needed.
