Senior Principal Linux Systems Administrator

What you'll do

• Oversee operations and administration of multi-user computer systems and multiple networks.
• Analyze requirements and implement hardware and software solutions while troubleshooting vendor products.
• Define and maintain enterprise-wide system enhancements including installations, patches, and configuration management.
• Design and develop backup strategies and disaster recovery frameworks for critical systems.
• Establish and enforce procedures for account management, file permissions, and security access.
• Lead testing, validation, and change management for major product releases across platforms.
• Ensure compliance with security guidelines by maintaining audit logs and Assessment & Authorization submissions.
• Provide senior-level technical expertise and mentorship to junior and experienced team members.

What we're looking for

• Must have a Master's degree with 6 years of IT experience, a Bachelor's with 8 years, an Associate's with 10 years, or a High School Diploma/GED with 12 years.
• Must have Linux operating systems workstation and server management experience in a classified environment.
• Must have cross-platform awareness of at least two operating systems, such as Windows, Linux, Solaris, OSX, or UNIX.
• Must meet U.S. Government 8140 requirements for a Linux/Windows Systems Administrator IAT level II certification.
• Must have a current U.S. Government Top Secret level security clearance.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology and 10 years of Linux Server Administration experience in a classified environment (preferred).
• Active SCI, SAP/SAR access, or Polygraph (preferred).
