The Sr. Mgr, Electrical Engineering will lead the Electrical Engineering Systems Integration team within the Etch Product Group to support the development of next-generation semiconductor process equipment. This leader manages a team of engineers responsible for the design, development, integration, and release of complex electrical systems and subsystems. Key responsibilities include guiding system requirements, design approaches, and troubleshooting for I/O and control systems, AC/DC power distribution, and embedded systems. The role requires expertise in analog and digital circuit design, PCBA development, and schematic qualification. Candidates must apply knowledge of industry safety standards including SEMI S2/S22, NFPA 79, NEC, UL, and IEC. The position involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external suppliers to ensure electrical designs meet functional, performance, reliability, and operational requirements throughout the product development lifecycle.
Manage and develop a team of engineers responsible for the design, integration, and release of complex electrical systems.
Provide technical leadership for system requirements, design approaches, integration, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the product development lifecycle.
Oversee the design of I/O and control systems, AC/DC power distribution, embedded systems, and PCBA-level electronics.
Ensure electrical designs meet system-level functional, performance, reliability, and operational requirements in coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
Develop organizational technical capabilities by mentoring engineers and advancing engineering methods, tools, and processes.
Oversee the development and execution of test plans and procedures to verify technical and operational requirements.
Review and analyze engineering data, design documentation, and test results to support sound engineering and program decisions.
Guide the evaluation and integration of custom and OEM electrical and embedded-system components and subsystems.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
15+ years of relevant engineering experience in semiconductor capital equipment or a related complex-equipment industry.
6–8 years of engineering management experience.
Strong technical background in complex electrical systems integration, control systems, AC/DC power distribution, and embedded systems.
Hands-on experience with analog and digital circuit design and PCBA development from schematic through production release.
Working knowledge of industry safety and electrical standards including SEMI S2/S22, NFPA 79, NEC, UL, and IEC.
Experience working with external suppliers and contract manufacturers for PCBAs, cable assemblies, and power distribution assemblies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present technical information and recommendations.
