What you'll do

Own end-to-end manufacturing processes for solar panel and deployment mechanism assemblies from development through production.
Design and implement automated and manual assembly lines for space hardware production.
Provide design for manufacturability (DFM) reviews to influence early engineering decisions.
Utilize statistical process controls (SPC) to monitor equipment effectiveness and improve process capability.
Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions to ensure manufacturing robustness and yield.
Manage the procurement, installation, and qualification of production tooling and automated systems.
Develop manufacturing documentation including FMEAs, control plans, and work instructions.
Track and report production metrics to leadership while identifying and removing production blockers.

What we're looking for

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status for export control compliance.
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, aerospace engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.
7+ years of experience in manufacturing, process, or production engineering (or 5+ years with an advanced degree).
5+ years of experience working with high-volume automated manufacturing equipment.
4+ years of experience with statistical process control and process capability analysis.
4+ years using root cause analysis techniques like 8D, 5-Why, or DMAIC to implement corrective actions.
3+ years tracking, analyzing, and reporting production metrics to leadership.
