The Sr. Manufacturing Automation Engineer joins the Amazon Leo Battery organization to develop next-generation power systems for a low Earth orbit satellite network. What you'll do

Lead the design, development, integration, and deployment of custom manufacturing automation equipment.
Develop automated assembly and test stations, fixtures, tooling, and end-of-line systems.
Design and integrate electrical controls, motion systems, robotics, machine vision, and industrial hardware.
Develop equipment automation software using Python, PLCs, LabVIEW, or C#.
Lead equipment commissioning, validation, qualification, and production readiness.
Develop proof-of-concept solutions and transition successful technologies into production.
Establish automation standards and mentor engineers and technicians.

What we're looking for

Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or granted asylum.
5+ years of experience developing manufacturing or industrial automation equipment.
Experience in robotics design, automation systems development, control systems design, or related product development.
Experience developing custom automation from concept through production deployment.
Experience designing and troubleshooting electrical and electro-mechanical systems.
Experience with industrial communication protocols such as EtherCAT, CAN, Modbus, EtherNet/IP, and RS-485.
Master’s degree in Engineering or related field (preferred).
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates.
