Senior Manager, Software, Payload Software

What you'll do

• Architect and implement end-to-end network software for satellite payload systems.
• Develop Linux networking solutions and oversee software for FPGA teams in spacecraft systems.
• Lead embedded software development for both satellite payloads and ground systems.
• Own the system test strategy, including Hardware-in-the-Loop simulation frameworks and on-orbit validation.
• Establish multi-test environments and continuous deployment pipelines for orbital operations.
• Scale and lead a high-performing engineering organization of over 40 people.
• Hire and develop specialized talent in embedded and network systems expertise.

What we're looking for

• Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status for export control compliance.
• At least 10 years of engineering experience is required.
• At least 7 years of experience managing engineering teams is required.
• At least 10 years of experience planning, designing, developing, and delivering consumer software is required.
• At least 7 years of experience leading embedded and networking teams is required.
• Proven track record of building and scaling engineering organizations of over 40 people.
• Expertise in embedded and networking software architecture, including Linux networking, switching, routing, and wireless protocols.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent programs and development teams in an Agile environment.
