Senior Manager, Mechanical Engineer, Airbreathing and Turbomachinery Design

What you'll do

• Provide technical leadership for the Propulsion Systems Engineering Design group to resolve technical and programmatic problems.
• Lead the design and integration of airbreathing propulsion systems and turbomachinery for large liquid engine systems.
• Develop and implement processes, tools, and training programs for the engineering design team.
• Manage direct reports by balancing workloads, conducting performance appraisals, and managing training budgets.
• Collaborate with Business Development and Program Management to support customer inquiries and proposal responses.
• Ensure consistent application of best practices across the company for propulsion system development.
• Oversee the full value stream from initial proposals to final product implementation.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree with 12 years of experience, a graduate degree with 10 years of experience, or 16 years of experience without a degree.
• At least 8 years of experience in airbreathing propulsion system design and turbomachinery design.
• Demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills to manage a team of engineers with multiple priorities.
• 5 years of knowledge regarding DoD Security Regulation.
• 5 years of EAR/ITAR experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret Security Clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Chemical Engineering (preferred).
• U.S. citizens.
