JOB TITLE: Sr. Manager, IT Business Analysis – Medical Affairs
The Sr. Manager, IT Business Analysis – Medical Affairs joins the Information Technology organization to serve as a strategic partner for global Medical Affairs. This role leads the evaluation, analysis, and planning of technology, processes, and business needs to accelerate strategic objectives. Key responsibilities include leading requirements gathering, developing technology roadmaps, managing demand, and overseeing the full delivery lifecycle from solution design to post-implementation optimization. The successful candidate will utilize skills in Agile methodologies, SDLC, and business process engineering to manage platforms like Veeva MedComms, iEnvision, Appian, AWS, and Azure. The role requires deep knowledge of Medical Affairs domains, GxP, and 21 CFR Part 11 requirements to solve complex business problems while ensuring regulatory compliance and data-driven decision-making across the global portfolio.
Lead business requirements gathering and needs analysis for global Medical Affairs functions.
Develop and maintain technology roadmaps and demand plans aligned with strategic business priorities.
Drive business case development, prioritization, and resource planning for new technology initiatives.
Act as the IT Product Owner for Medical Affairs technology solutions and manage vendor deliverables.
Oversee the full delivery lifecycle including solution design, testing, deployment, and post-implementation optimization.
Ensure all technology solutions meet regulatory, quality, and GxP compliance standards.
Facilitate global workshops and stakeholder meetings to align business strategy with IT delivery.
Manage enhancements, defect resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives for systems within scope.
What we're looking for
Must have a High School degree and experience, Associate's and , Bachelor's and , Master's and , or a Ph.D.
Degree in Computer Science or related discipline (preferred).
Strong IT experience in enterprise environments, including business systems analysis, planning, budgeting, and resource coordination (preferred).
Experience in Medical Affairs domain (preferred) and Commercial domain (preferred).
Experience in business process engineering, product management, project delivery, integrations, cloud platforms, and digital transformation (preferred).
Knowledge of GxP, validation, 21 CFR Part 11 requirements, and IT security, risk, and compliance.
Experience with platforms such as Veeva MedComms, iEnvision, Appian, AWS, Azure, and AI/ML technologies like AWS SageMaker.
Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, SDLC, enterprise architecture, and DevOps practices including CI/CD and automation.
