What you'll do

Develop high-quality production code while utilizing AI-assisted tools for generation, debugging, and test synthesis.
Provide technical guidance and direction to internal teams, contractors, and external vendors.
Design and maintain internal tooling and developer platforms to improve engineering productivity and observability.
Manage 24/7 high-traffic systems including on-call rotations, incident response, and post-mortem analysis.
Serve as a subject matter expert in AI/ML applications within software engineering workflows.
Drive the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI tools to accelerate code review, refactoring, and test strategies.
Influence product design and technical operations to ensure secure, stable, and scalable technology solutions.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced proficiency in the Java programming language and its associated ecosystem.
Demonstrated AI fluency including prompt engineering and using LLM-based tools to write, review, and debug production code.
Experience designing and shipping internal developer tools, CLIs, dashboards, or platforms to improve team velocity.
Proven track record operating high-traffic systems with strict uptime requirements, SLOs, and capacity planning.
Advanced knowledge of software applications and in-depth expertise in one or more technical disciplines like cloud, AI, or distributed systems.
Experience with banking and credit card ecosystems (preferred); AWS Certification (preferred).
