Senior Lead Software Engineer, Java, Python, AI/ML

What you'll do

• Develop secure, high-quality production software systems using Java or Python.
• Architect and design scalable software systems integrating LLMs, Generative AI, and coding assistants.
• Lead a local team of software engineers and applied AI/ML practitioners to drive accountability and engagement.
• Drive the adoption and governance of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Design experiments, implement algorithms, and productionize performant, trustworthy AI/ML solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and direction to business teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Establish measurable validation standards for secure coding, peer review, and automated testing.
• Influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations through key decision-making.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Java and/or Python for software system development and application development.
• Experience integrating AI/ML techniques into software systems, including LLMs, Generative AI, NLP, RAG, and coding assistants.
• Familiarity with agentic workflows and frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, and Auto-GPT.
• Demonstrated experience leading the use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and validating AI outputs.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and practical machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-Learn.
• Knowledge of responsible AI use, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and coaching others on compliant usage.
• AWS Certifications (Solution Architect Associate or Professional) (preferred).
