Senior Lead Software Engineer, Java, React & AI

What you'll do

• Develop secure, high-quality production code while reviewing and debugging code written by other team members.
• Provide technical guidance and direction to business teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Drive the adoption and governance of AI-assisted engineering practices across multiple teams.
• Establish measurable validation standards for secure coding, peer reviews, and automated testing.
• Implement automation within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) toolchain to improve scale.
• Advocate for firmwide frameworks, tools, and best practices within the engineering community.
• Influence project decision-makers to adopt leading-edge technologies and innovative solutions.
• Coach engineers on compliant usage patterns and security controls for AI-assisted development.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• 10+ years of Java full-stack development experience with at least 3 years of technical leadership.
• Expert proficiency in RESTful API design, Java 11+, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Hibernate/JPA.
• Strong front-end development skills in React and a solid understanding of relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools to improve code quality, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Strong prompt engineering skills for Large Language Models to generate accurate, efficient, and secure code.
• Ability to balance hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities (preferred).
