As a Sr Lead Software Engineer - Distributed Systems within the ATRS Risk Team, you will join an agile team focused on designing and delivering secure, stable, and scalable technology products. You will be responsible for executing software solutions, troubleshooting complex problems, and creating high-quality production code while maintaining algorithms that run synchronously with existing systems. Your daily work involves producing architecture artifacts, analyzing large datasets to identify patterns, and utilizing AI tools to accelerate development and improve system stability. The role requires proficiency in Python and Java, along with experience in database querying, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security. You will navigate cross-asset and cross-business platforms within a large corporate environment. This position addresses critical technical domains to support business functions while exploring emerging technologies like cloud computing and machine learning.
Design, develop, and troubleshoot complex software solutions beyond routine approaches.
Utilize AI tools to accelerate design, development, and system stability.
Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain synchronized algorithms.
Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring technical constraints are met.
Analyze large datasets to create visualizations and reporting for continuous system improvement.

What we're looking for
Formal training or certification in Computer Science concepts.
5+ years of applied experience in software engineering.
Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Proficiency in coding with one or more languages, specifically Python or Java.
Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying languages.
Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
Demonstrated knowledge of technical processes within disciplines such as cloud, AI, machine learning, or mobile.
Experience in financial services, advanced Python coding, AI development tooling, and cloud technologies (preferred).
