What you'll do

Lead the end-to-end design, implementation, and operation of complex platform features and integrations.
Create technical roadmaps and milestones to drive predictable delivery and continuous process improvement.
Develop assistant skills and tool functions with clear interfaces, schemas, validation, and observability.
Stand up and operate MCP servers and agent patterns to accelerate engineering delivery.
Establish evaluation checks, guardrails, and monitoring to ensure AI behavior is accurate and safe.
Drive data readiness and integration practices including modeling, pipelines, and quality controls for AI outcomes.
Uphold SDLC rigor through secure coding, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD.
Mentor junior engineers on technical and soft skills while delegating tasks to unblock delivery.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Strong proficiency in Java and strong working experience with Python.
Strong architecture and design skills across systems with sound engineering judgment.
Strong engineering fundamentals including OOD, design patterns, SOLID, and a quality-first mindset with testing/TDD.
Strong integration and data fundamentals including SQL/PL-SQL and event messaging such as MQ/Kafka.
Experience operating production services with CI/CD, observability, and reliability best practices.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and understanding responsible AI use.
Ability to create roadmaps, manage dependencies, and execute in agile/scrum environments while mentoring engineers.
ServiceNow experience including familiarity with the ServiceNow data model (preferred).
Experience with MCP operations patterns and designing AI agents with grounding/RAG patterns (preferred).
Experience in AWS or other public cloud platforms (preferred).
