As a Sr Engineer - Gift Card Platform, you will join the Gift Card Platform team to design and build highly scalable, reliable platform capabilities that power critical gift card experiences. You will serve as a technical leader, shaping architecture and implementing engineering best practices while building backend services using Kotlin, Java, and Micronaut. Your daily work involves developing REST and GraphQL APIs, managing distributed systems with Kafka, and processing high-volume data using PostgreSQL and Redis. Additionally, you will integrate advanced AI capabilities, including agentic workflows, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, and MCP tools. What we're looking for

Experience designing distributed systems, service-oriented architectures, REST/GraphQL APIs, and event-driven architectures is required.
Experience building large-scale data processing capabilities and managing relational databases like PostgreSQL and caching tools like Redis is required.
Proficiency in Python for AI application development, automation, or tooling is required.
Experience designing AI-powered applications using LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, and agentic workflows is required.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud-native architectures, and modern CI/CD pipelines is required.
