What you'll do

Distill abstract architectures into concrete designs and influence the implementation of scalable systems.
Develop and maintain high-performance, secure, and scalable software using Kotlin, Java, and JVM-based languages.
Lead and conduct code reviews, design reviews, testing, and debugging activities at the application level.
Evaluate new technologies and execute research or proof-of-concept activities for technical adoption.
Provide technical oversight and coaching to team members to resolve complex and severe technical issues.
Lead disaster recovery planning and execution activities for critical distributed platforms.
Embed data quality protocols throughout the data acquisition, processing, storage, and operational use cycles.
Manage the total product lifecycle, including financials, forecasting, and total cost of ownership for services.

What we're looking for

A 4-year degree or equivalent experience is required.
5+ years of software development experience is required.
Experience working with Java or Kotlin is required.
Ability to write and organize code using multiple computer languages, including distributed programming.
Experience with frameworks and paradigms including Micronaut, Ratpack, and microservices.
Ability to design and implement high-performance, scalable, repeatable, and secure deliverables with high throughput and low latency.
Ability to design new testing methods and resolve routine and non-routine technical issues with minimal assistance.
Ability to lead code reviews, design reviews, testing, and debugging activities at the application level.
