As a Sr. Electrical Test Development Engineer, Customer Hardware (Starlink), you will join the team responsible for developing test solutions that characterize the reliability and performance of high-volume consumer devices, including phased arrays, Wi-Fi routers, and power supplies. You will own the design, implementation, and verification of development, production, and reliability test solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to move products from concept to full-scale production. Your daily work involves selecting commercial-off-the-shelf hardware or designing custom PCBAs to measure signals and apply flight-like loads. You will write automation software in Python to interact with instrumentation and production systems. Key technical requirements include experience with test equipment like oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers, as well as proficiency in C/C++, circuit analysis, and environmental testing such as HALT, HASS, thermal, vibration, and TVAC.

What you'll do

Design and develop automated test solutions for high-volume consumer phased arrays, WiFi routers, and power supplies.
Select commercial-off-the-shelf hardware or design custom PCBAs to measure signals and apply flight-like loads.
Write Python automation software to interact with units under test, instrumentation, and production documentation systems.
Develop and verify test solutions for product development, manufacturing, and reliability testing.
Provide feedback to engineering teams to drive improvements in product reliability and manufacturing yield.
Analyze electrical schematics and circuit designs to improve overall test coverage.
Perform measurements using equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers to validate requirements.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or another engineering discipline.
5+ years of experience in hardware development or electronics test engineering.
5+ years of programming experience.
Ability to work extended hours or weekends as needed for mission critical deadlines.
Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (or eligible for such status) per ITAR regulations.
Experience analyzing circuits and developing functional test plans (preferred).
Experience designing and troubleshooting PCBAs (preferred).
Experience with test equipment, measurement techniques, and environmental testing (preferred).
