Software Development Test Engineer

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain hardware-in-the-loop (HIL/HITL) testbeds and supporting infrastructure.
• Develop test cases and simulation environments that replicate on-orbit scenarios for flight-like testing.
• Ensure software maintains appropriate test coverage while balancing reliability, velocity, and safety.
• Create innovative strategies to scale the HITL fleet to meet growing software test demands.
• Analyze and troubleshoot HITL test results to identify testbed issues and prevent production bugs.
• Construct platforms to test industrial ground antennas, high-power amplifiers, and ground-to-space lasers.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in software, electrical, mechanical, aerospace, or a related engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of professional test experience within electrical, mechanical, and/or aerospace engineering.
• Development experience in Python.
• Experience in CI/CD pipeline development.
• Experience with integration and testing of electrical, electromechanical, RF, and/or high voltage systems (preferred).
• Experience with electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DAQs, electronic loads, and spectrum analyzers (preferred).
• Experience with 3D CAD software for design, modeling, and manufacturing applications (preferred).
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible for required Department of State authorizations.
