Electrical Test and Reliability Engineer, Satellites

What you'll do

• Design and develop automated test solutions for avionics and payload hardware.
• Select commercial-off-the-shelf hardware and design custom PCBAs to measure signals and power units.
• Write Python automation software to interact with test equipment, instrumentation, and production documentation.
• Perform electrical bench testing and develop engineering models to replicate and mitigate hardware anomalies.
• Support hardware through production, satellite integration, and flight operations.
• Build physical and digital tools to analyze data collected from the lab and on-orbit environments.
• Drive design improvements by performing root cause analysis on systemic production issues.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or other STEM discipline.
• 1+ years of experience with hardware development or electronics test engineering (internship experience is acceptable).
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible for required Department of State authorizations.
• Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or similar engineering degree (preferred).
• Strong understanding of computers and programming languages such as Python and C/C++ (preferred).
• Experience analyzing circuits, developing functional test plans, and designing or troubleshooting PCBAs (preferred).
• Experience with test equipment and measurement techniques like oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and vector signal generators (preferred).
• Thorough understanding of electronics reliability, failure mechanisms, and environmental testing such as HALT/HASS (preferred).
