Senior EHS Engineer

What you'll do

• Manage Process Safety Management, Machine Guarding, and Confined Space Entry programs.
• Investigate workplace incidents and perform root cause analyses to determine corrective actions.
• Conduct assessments of high hazard processes to identify and reduce risks.
• Prepare internal and external EHS compliance reports and analyze data to identify trends.
• Provide EHS technical guidance for the design, installation, and modification of equipment.
• Act as the facility representative during inspections by agencies such as OSHA and fire departments.
• Lead safety committee meetings and provide interpretations of EHS regulations.
• Manage the Management of Change process for site business plan updates.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Five years of experience with EHS programs and procedures in private, public, government, or military environments.
• Master’s degree or higher in science, engineering, or environmental health and safety (preferred).
• Experience implementing comprehensive EHS management systems (preferred).
• Experience with hazard and risk assessments in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
• Experience with computer-based EHS tools for data reporting and assessments (preferred).
• Experience with local, state, and federal regulations such as Fire, OSHA, and EPA (preferred).
• Ten or more years of experience in an EHS role in manufacturing addressing process safety, machine guarding, and confined space issues (preferred).
• QEP, CSP, or CIH certification(s) (preferred).
