The Sr Director, Enterprise Architecture leads a high-performing team of enterprise architects to mature the architecture practice into an agile internal consultancy. This leader will shape the future technology landscape by establishing a modern vision that simplifies complex legacy ecosystems and ensures resilient, scalable, and cost-efficient foundations. Key responsibilities include leading enterprise-wide architecture governance, managing budgets and resources, and translating technical strategy into business value for executive-level discussions. The role requires driving innovation through the strategic adoption of Generative AI, machine learning, and advanced data paradigms. Candidates must possess deep expertise in Business Architecture, Cloud Platforms, Data Engineering, and DevSecOps. The position focuses on solving large-scale digital transformation, legacy modernization, and cloud migration challenges within a global, highly distributed environment using API-led connectivity and microservices architectures.
Set the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the enterprise architecture function in alignment with business goals.
Lead the enterprise-wide architecture governance to ensure alignment with technology standards and target states.
Mature the enterprise architecture practice into an agile, internal consultancy model.
Manage EA resources including budgets, tooling, staffing investments, and compliance.
Coach and mentor a team of architects to develop technical depth and behavioral competencies.
Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders on technology investments and strategic decision-making.
Lead the evaluation and strategic adoption of disruptive technologies like Generative AI and machine learning.
Develop future- and current-state models to support large-scale digital transformation and legacy modernization.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
15+ years of progressive technology experience.
8+ years in a senior leadership role guiding enterprise-level architecture, strategic planning, or platform engineering in a global, highly distributed environment.
Proven track record of driving large-scale digital transformation, legacy modernization, or cloud migration initiatives.
Multidisciplinary experience in at least three areas: Business/Enterprise Architecture, Solution/Technical Architecture, Cloud Platforms, Data/Analytics Engineering, or DevSecOps.
Hands-on familiarity with modern tech stacks, API-led connectivity, microservices architectures, and data mesh principles.
Outstanding capability to lead, inspire, and influence without direct authority in highly matrixed, global organizational structures.
