What you'll do

  • Administer and optimize high-volume Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL instances in highly available environments.
  • Install, configure, patch, and maintain database instances across development, UAT, and production environments.
  • Manage database security, including user access, roles, permissions, and Active Directory integration.
  • Perform database backups, restores, recovery testing, and snapshot activities to ensure data readiness.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance, storage, data files, and transaction logs.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate routine DBA tasks and health checks.
  • Execute SQL scripts for application deployments, schema changes, and data population.
  • Support and maintain Fivetran HVR replication channels for on-premises-to-cloud data movement.

What we're looking for

  • 8+ years of hands-on Microsoft SQL Server DBA and Postgres experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience supporting SQL Server 2016, 2019, and/or 2022.
  • Strong T-SQL scripting, query optimization, and performance-tuning skills.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for SQL Server administration and operational automation.
  • Experience with SQL Server backup, restore, recovery, and disaster-recovery processes.
  • Experience with any cloud solution (GCP preferred).
  • Experience with Fivetran HVR data replication (preferred).
