Senior Cloud Database Engineer

What you'll do

• Design, build, and operate SQL Server on Windows across VMware and AWS EC2.
• Enhance the database product portfolio on the AWS platform with a focus on SQL Server.
• Automate infrastructure deployments and configurations using PowerShell and Ansible.
• Use AI tools to analyze logs, metrics, and incidents to support faster root-cause analysis.
• Engineer applications following fault-tolerant best practices, separation of duties, and observability.
• Manage SQL Server Availability Groups and Failover Clusters.
• Perform backup, recovery, security configuration, and performance troubleshooting.

What we're looking for

• 7-12 years of experience with SQL Server Administration, Development, or Architecture.
• 6+ years of highly technical experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Availability Groups, and Failover Clusters.
• 3+ years of experience working on cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, with a preference for AWS (preferred).
• 5+ years of development/automation experience using Powershell and Powershell remoting via WinRM.
• 2+ years of experience using Terraform.
• 2+ years of experience using Ansible to configure Windows systems using WinRM (Chef or Puppet experience also considered) (preferred).
• AWS certifications are highly recommended (preferred).
