What you'll do

  • Design and manage high-performance database clusters across BigTable, Oracle, MySQL, and Cloud SQL.
  • Architect multi-cloud database solutions across AWS, GCP, and Azure environments.
  • Build Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) frameworks using Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, and Packer.
  • Automate schema deployment and management through GitOps and CI/CD workflows.
  • Optimize database performance through indexing, partitioning, tuning, and query improvements.
  • Develop Python-based automation and AI-driven tools to enhance database operations.
  • Design monitoring, alerting, and observability systems using Grafana, Datadog, and Prometheus.
  • Lead incident response efforts and implement self-healing and failover strategies for mission-critical systems.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in database engineering or related fields.
  • Proficiency in BigTable, Oracle, MySQL/MariaDB, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, BigQuery, and Kubernetes.
  • Expertise with Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, and GitOps automation frameworks.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, with familiarity in Bash, Java, or Scala.
  • Experience managing multi-cloud environments across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Proficiency in Linux system administration and distributed systems troubleshooting.
  • Deep understanding of observability tools such as Grafana, Datadog, and ELK; experience with generative AI tools for database optimization (preferred).
