Sr. Business Systems Analyst
As a Sr. Business Systems Analyst, you will serve as a strategic liaison between IT and the business to drive scalable solutions for the Services and Education organizations. You will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and maintaining business architecture and processes specifically focused on Professional Services Automation (PSA) to improve how teams quote, sell, deliver, and manage services. The role involves translating complex requirements into functional designs, managing data flows, and creating technical roadmaps. You will utilize the Salesforce platform and Certinia (formerly FinancialForce) PSA tools to build automated workflows and integrate systems like NetSuite. Key responsibilities include requirement gathering, system documentation, and conducting functional testing to ensure software quality. Your work addresses the core challenge of streamlining the PSA lifecycle through data-driven automation and clear communication of complex system concepts.
Serve as a subject matter expert on Certinia (formerly FinancialForce) PSA features and integrations.
Translate complex business needs into clear functional requirements, designs, and documentation for project enhancements.
Optimize Professional Services Automation (PSA) workflows to improve how teams quote, sell, deliver, and manage services.
Maintain comprehensive system documentation including data mapping, configuration guides, and enablement materials.
Execute functional testing and collaborate with technical teams to resolve defects and ensure software quality.
Identify opportunities for process streamlining and automated solutions aligned with company strategy.
Communicate complex system concepts through clear written materials and visual presentations to stakeholders.
Manage the lifecycle of PSA projects by ensuring alignment between business goals and technical configurations.
What we're looking for
Must have 5+ years of experience in Business Systems Analysis and design on the Salesforce platform.
Must have 3+ years of hands-on experience with Certinia (formerly FinancialForce) PSA.
Experience partnering with a Services organization to support delivery, enablement, and process optimization is required.
Experience designing, implementing, and supporting large-scale, complex Salesforce and PSA solutions in production environments is required.
Must have hands-on expertise with PSA capabilities including Project Management, Resource Management, Time & Expense, Billing, and Revenue Recognition.
Experience developing business processes and requirements for integrations with boundary systems like NetSuite is required.
Strong understanding of QA and UAT processes to define acceptance criteria and support functional validation is required.
Salesforce certifications (Admin, Business Analyst) and Certinia PSA certifications are preferred.
