The Sr. Systems Analyst I joins the CMD Tech Communications team to support customer communications for annuity and life product sales on Customer Communication Management platforms. Working within a team of sixteen, this role involves partnering with business stakeholders and technology teams to gather, document, and validate functional and technical requirements. Key responsibilities include supporting Agile product teams by refining backlogs, writing user stories, and defining acceptance criteria. The position requires utilizing Azure DevOps to manage requirements, defects, and delivery tracking throughout the software development lifecycle. Candidates must possess skills in incident triage, root cause investigation, and business process mapping. Technical competencies include knowledge of SQL, APIs, XML, JSON, and correspondence technologies like Quadient Inspire or OpenText Exstream to support application modernization and regulatory changes.
Gather, document, and validate business, functional, and technical requirements for correspondence applications and services.
Refine backlogs, write user stories, and define acceptance criteria for Agile product teams.
Manage requirements, defects, and delivery tracking within Azure DevOps (ADO) throughout the software development lifecycle.
Perform incident triage, production support analysis, and root cause investigation for business-as-usual operations.
Analyze business processes to identify gaps and develop scalable solutions for operational efficiency.
Coordinate with development, infrastructure, and vendor teams to support system upgrades and application modernization.
Create business process flows, use cases, functional specifications, and test scenarios.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Technical Business Analyst supporting enterprise applications.
Experience working within Agile delivery teams, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, user story development, and acceptance criteria definition.
Hands-on experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) to manage requirements, user stories, defects, testing activities, and delivery tracking.
Experience eliciting, documenting, and validating business, functional, and technical requirements.
Experience supporting production applications, including incident management, defect analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, testing practices, and change management processes.
Experience supporting Customer Communications Management (CCM) platforms such as Quadient Inspire or OpenText Exstream (preferred).
