Senior Associate Software Developer

What you'll do

• Build data sets and models using retinal clinical and administrative data.
• Extract and integrate datasets from various sources including APIs, files, and proprietary medical images.
• Perform statistical and data science methods to test the validity of ophthalmology datasets.
• Develop data science pipelines in AWS cloud environments for parsing images and processing PHI.
• Write and optimize performant SQL queries for clinical and administrative dataset preparation.
• Build computer vision models for retinal image segmentation, object detection, and volumetric measurement.
• Create automated RPA applications within an AWS cloud environment.
• Perform advanced statistical analysis on retina clinical, administrative, and image datasets.

What we're looking for

• Master's degree in Computer Vision, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Three years of experience in research settings, preparing data for research studies and real-world evidence projects.
• One year of experience in retina expertise including ophthalmology electronic medical records, database integration, and clinical data management.
• One year of experience in ophthalmology imaging, data modeling, and statistical/computer vision models for retinal images.
• Proficiency in Python (including Numpy, Pandas, SciPy) and AWS cloud environments.
• Experience with SQL (specifically Postgres 16+), including writing performant queries and troubleshooting.
• Expertise in computer vision tasks such as image segmentation, object detection, and volumetric rendering.
• Experience with specific imaging modalities like OCT, wide-field, and fluorescein angiography.
