Senior Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer, Sustaining Engineering

What you'll do

• Lead the development and validation of test systems for satellite bus subsystems.
• Design and develop software scripts and hardware setups for manufacturing test lines.
• Investigate and troubleshoot yield issues during prototype and production builds.
• Define test strategies and optimize equipment, fixtures, and processes at the contract manufacturer.
• Provide design for testability (DFT) feedback to engineering teams throughout the design process.
• Analyze data using tools like MATLAB or Python to evaluate system performance.
• Develop maintenance plans, troubleshooting guides, and technical documentation for production support.
• Manage cross-functional schedules, requirements, and risk assessments for hardware development programs.

What we're looking for

• Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status for export control compliance.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or an equivalent field.
• 3+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems with a focus on design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• 1+ years of experience in systems design, software development, operations, automation, and process improvement.
• Experience leading the design, automation, deployment, and support of large-scale infrastructure.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
• Experience with Linux/Unix systems and CI/CD pipeline build processes.
• Background in requirements management, design for manufacturing, and hardware/software development for test.
