As a Sr. Advanced FPGA/Firmware Engineer within the Torpedo Systems Group, you will join an engineering team to develop, deliver, and maintain software and firmware products. You will be responsible for designing, simulating, and optimizing FPGA systems while collaborating on hardware and firmware integration within a Linux environment. Your daily work involves managing the full development lifecycle from design to deployment, troubleshooting complex hardware issues using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies, and serving as an onsite representative to assist government customers with installations and corrective actions. The role requires expertise in C programming, multithreaded programming, real-time operating systems, and FPGA process flows including synthesis and timing. You will utilize Git for version control while solving technical challenges related to torpedo systems and advanced electronic warfare technologies.
Design, simulate, and optimize FPGA systems including system architecture and timing.
Develop and maintain firmware and software products across the full development lifecycle.
Perform hardware and firmware integration within a Linux environment.
Troubleshoot complex hardware issues using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
Serve as the frontline engineering representative for government customers during product delivery.
Provide on-site support for product installation and corrective actions.
Implement C programming for multithreaded systems and real-time operating systems.
What we're looking for
U.S. citizenship is required.
A Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus 8 years of experience; or a Master's degree plus 6 years of experience.
Advanced experience in FPGA design, simulation, and system architecture.
Proficiency in C programming, multithreaded programming, and real-time operating systems.
Experience with hardware and firmware development tools and Linux environments.
Ability to troubleshoot hardware using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
