What you'll do

Design custom circuit cards using FPGAs, embedded processors, and networking components.
Perform schematic capture, simulations, PCB analysis, and layout for hardware designs.
Conduct performance characterization of hardware across a wide variety of environmental conditions.
Execute detailed performance measurements and debug systems at the hardware level.
Document designs including requirements, testing procedures, and bills of material.
Support test engineering during the transition of hardware to manufacturing testing.
Integrate high-speed digital components and commercially available chipsets into communication systems.
Utilize industry-standard interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, SPI, UART, and SDRAM.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience, a graduate degree and 2 years of experience, or 8 years of experience without a degree.
Master’s Degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
Minimum of 3 years of experience with CCA and Hardware Design (preferred).
Minimum of 2 years' experience with hardware verification, schematic capture, and PCB Layout (preferred).
Experience in laboratory debug techniques using digital scopes, logic analyzers, BERTS, and other complex measurement devices (preferred).
Familiarity with Mentor Graphics tools (preferred).
Familiarity with code revision management tools such as Git/ClearCase (preferred).
Must be a U.S. citizen to obtain a security clearance.
