JOB TITLE: Solution Engineer- Brand Technical Specialist (Hashicorp Portfolio)
As a Solutions Engineer supporting the HashiCorp portfolio, you will work directly with customers to solve complex challenges across infrastructure automation, cloud security, and platform engineering. You will lead technical discovery, design solutions, and deliver demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and workshops to establish technical fit. Your day-to-day involves guiding customers through onboarding, production-ready deployments, and identifying opportunities for expansion. You will utilize technologies including Terraform, Vault, Consul, and Boundary. Key competencies include experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will also navigate secrets management, identity and access management, and GitOps workflows. This role focuses on helping organizations modernize their technology environments by delivering applications and infrastructure more efficiently and securely through the HashiCorp portfolio.
Lead technical and business discovery engagements to identify high-value use cases and recommend solutions.
Design and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and workshops.
Guide customers through onboarding and production-ready deployments of HashiCorp solutions.
Develop and execute technical adoption plans to establish measurable consumption and use-case milestones.
Identify opportunities to expand existing investments by introducing new capabilities and complementary products.
Educate customers through architecture reviews, strategy sessions, and hands-on technical guidance.
Coordinate with internal specialists and product teams to navigate complex customer challenges.
What we're looking for
Demonstrated experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Technical Consulting.
Ability to conduct technical discovery, translate requirements into solutions, and articulate technical and business value.
Experience presenting technical concepts, delivering demonstrations, or guiding technical evaluations for various audiences.
Foundational understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud computing, software delivery, or related technical disciplines.
Ability to work in a hybrid environment in the San Francisco Bay Area with occasional national travel.
Experience with HashiCorp technologies including Terraform, Vault, Consul, or Boundary (preferred).
Experience with DevOps, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), containers, or security and identity practices (preferred).
