As a Solution Architect, you will join the team to design and support the deployment of reliable, secure networks to facilitate critical missions for the Department of Defense. You will collaborate with subject matter experts, customers, and vendors to translate strategic goals into technical requirements while leading the planning of acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance for network, cloud, and security components. Your daily work involves resolving cross-platform interoperability issues, automating networking systems, and modernizing existing solutions using cloud technologies. You will utilize expertise in backbone networks, core networking, and Zero Trust architectures aligned with NIST 800-207 standards. The role requires proficiency in cybersecurity capabilities such as identity and access management, network access control, and secure DevOps to solve complex problems involving the protection of enterprise networks for federal operations.
Design and support the deployment of reliable, secure networks to meet DoD mission requirements.
Translate strategic goals and operational needs into specific network and security requirements.
Lead the planning for acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of network and cloud components.
Resolve cross-platform interoperability issues to facilitate hardware procurement.
Automate networking systems and modernize existing solutions using cloud technologies.
Architect Zero Trust solutions and roadmaps in alignment with NIST 800-207 standards.
Lead product selection initiatives for security tools, identity management, and network access control.
Advise senior executives on the development and execution of cybersecurity capability maturation.
What we're looking for
8+ years of experience leading technical project delivery for large, complex organizations.
8+ years of experience in network architecture and design.
4+ years of experience with cybersecurity.
Experience architecting Zero Trust solutions and roadmaps aligned with NIST 800-207 and DoD standards.
Experience selecting, designing, and implementing security tools for large federal or commercial organizations.
Experience leading product selection initiatives including A&O, AI, analytics, secure DevOps, IAM, or NAC.
Ability to guide senior leaders like CISO, CIO, and CTO on cybersecurity capability maturation.
Bachelor's degree, TS/SCI clearance, and ability to obtain DoD 8140 or 8570 IAT Level II certification within 6 months (preferred: experience in leadership, innovative capabilities, or cloud platforms).
