JOB TITLE: Cybersecurity Architect
The Cybersecurity Architect joins a team of thought leaders to lead the architecture and design of innovative cybersecurity solutions and service offerings for federal networks. This role involves coordinating with experts to translate customer IT needs into secure plans, balancing security requirements with mission needs. You will lead technical project delivery, identify tool mixes, and provide alternatives for network and systems design. Key responsibilities include leading cybersecurity technologies such as IoT, Cloud security, Automation and Orchestration, identity and access management, and machine learning. Required skills include network architecture, product selection for zero trust and perimeter defense, and experience with AI, analytics, and secure DevOps. Candidates must possess an active TS/SCI clearance and relevant certifications like CISSP or SecurityX to solve complex federal security challenges.
Lead the architecture and design of innovative cybersecurity solutions for federal networks.
Identify and implement methods to harden systems and reduce the overall attack surface.
Translate customer IT needs and future goals into actionable, secure technical plans.
Provide customized network and systems design alternatives to balance security with mission needs.
Lead technical domains including IoT, Cloud security, Automation and Orchestration, and Identity and Access Management.
Guide senior executives to ideate, build, and execute cybersecurity capability maturation.
Author technical documentation, white papers, and blogs on leading cybersecurity topics and concepts.
What we're looking for
8+ years of experience with cybersecurity.
5+ years of experience leading technical project delivery for large, complex organizations.
5+ years of experience in network architecture and design.
Experience leading product selection initiatives for perimeter defense, zero trust, A&O, AI, analytics, secure DevOps, IAM, or network access control.
Ability to guide senior leaders like CISO, CIO, and CTO to execute cybersecurity capability maturation.
Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph exam.
Education and experience must meet one of: Associate’s degree with 10+ years IT experience, Bachelor’s with 8+ years, Master’s with 6+ years, or 12+ years of experience without a degree.
DoD 8570 IAT Level III and IASAE Level II Certification (e.g., SecurityX or CISSP) and ability to obtain CSSP-IS within 30 days.
