The Software Test Engineer joins the team to perform testing, project management, and quality assurance assignments on complex systems work. The role involves carrying out testing activities for new and existing software products, including regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing. Key responsibilities include identifying technical problems, analyzing business requirements to develop automation test cases, and documenting defects in bug tracking software. The candidate will use modern programming languages like C++, Java, or Python to design and develop test automation frameworks. Required tools and technologies include Junit, Cucumber, JBehave, Karate for REST APIs, JMeter for performance testing, and AWS Cloud technology. The position also requires experience with SQL, TDD, continuous integration, code review, and DevOps tools like Jenkins and Git to ensure software accuracy and interoperability.
Execute testing activities for new and existing software products including regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing.
Identify and resolve complex application and technical problems independently.
Analyze business requirements to develop and execute automated test cases.
Document software defects in bug tracking systems and monitor them through to resolution.
Coordinate with product owners to manage open issues, enhancements, and system upgrades.
Communicate with end users and internal customers to debug and verify application accuracy and integrity.
Perform integrated testing and customer acceptance testing for components requiring complex planning.
Develop test automation code for Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) of systems and infrastructure.
What we're looking for
A Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field and 5 years of experience in software testing in Automation Tools is required.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and 7 years of experience in software testing in Automation Tools is accepted as an alternative.
Experience in test automation framework design and development is required.
Functional or object-oriented coding experience in modern programming languages like C++, Java, or Python (preferably Java) is required.
Proficiency in at least two of the following: Java/Junit, Python, Cucumber, JBehave, other BDD frameworks, REST APIs with Karate, JMeter, AWS Cloud, TDD, CI/CD, SQL, or full stack testing is required.
Experience with DevOps concepts and tools such as CI/CD, Jenkins, and Git is required.
Apigee or other API gateways are a plus (preferred).
