What you'll do

Lead a team to design and develop core database system functionalities.
Create new architectures and designs to solve complex scalability problems.
Develop innovative ideas to improve system robustness and performance.
Implement comprehensive functional and system-testing for database quality.
Debug, diagnose defects, and conduct root cause analysis.
Actively participate in the release and deployment processes.
Provide end-to-end ownership of architecture, implementation, and product support for mission-critical systems.

What we're looking for

4+ years of industry experience in system or database internals programming.
4+ years of technical leadership in architecture and design of enterprise server platforms or systems.
Deep expertise with distributed systems and consensus algorithms.
Experience with highly concurrent multi-threaded/multi-process data structures and design.
Strong Java or C programming skills.
Proven track record of end-to-end ownership of architecture, design, implementation, monitoring, testing, and product support on large mission-critical systems at petabyte scale.
PostgreSQL software development experience and community involvement as a contributor (preferred).
Experience building a high-performance large-scale database platform (preferred).
