Software Engineering Product Manager, IoT & Telematics

What you'll do

• Lead the IoT and telematics portfolio to support connected-car, smart-home, and usage-based insurance products.
• Manage product and platform health including reliability, security, quality, and incident response.
• Prioritize delivery across new features, operational needs, technical debt, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee project management tasks such as risk mitigation, financial planning, vendor relationships, and capacity management.
• Promote modern engineering practices like automated testing, CI/CD, and disciplined release management.
• Develop and implement application suite roadmaps based on business needs and technology currency.
• Act as a forward-facing advocate for the customer to develop business cases and plan portfolio investments.
• Hire, coach, and develop a team of at least five technology professionals.

What we're looking for

• Must be based within a commutable distance to the Columbus, Ohio office.
• Six years of experience in application suite management is required.
• Four or more years of experience leading numerous teams across multiple technologies is required.
• Undergraduate studies in management information systems, engineering, math, computer science, or comparable education and experience (preferred).
• Detailed knowledge of the systems development life cycle and modern methodologies, practices, tools, and techniques.
• Solid understanding of project delivery, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Proven ability to develop and implement roadmap strategies while managing risk mitigation controls.
• Insurance or financial services industry knowledge is a plus.
