What you'll do

Manage, coach, and develop a team of individual contributor engineers and less experienced managers.
Design, evolve, and operationalize products in partnership with architecture and product teams.
Ensure adherence to banking platform architecture and non-functional requirements for every release.
Implement technical strategies for cloud readiness, application modernization, and data strategy.
Resolve technical roadblocks related to code, build processes, deployment, and security standards.
Act as an escalation partner for scrum masters to remove impediments and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Perform hands-on engineering tasks including peer reviews and guiding design in the codebase.
Manage the allocation of people and financial resources for technology engineering projects.

What we're looking for

5+ years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent through work, training, military experience, or education.
2+ years of Leadership experience.
3+ years of Java experience.
3+ years of Spring Ecosystem experience such as Spring Boot and Hibernate.
2+ years of Messaging experience such as Kafka or JMS.
2+ years of experience building distributed platforms.
2+ years of experience with container orchestration platforms like OpenShift, PCF, or AWS.
Experience in modernization, cloud-native applications, AI/GenAI tools, global team collaboration, and financial markets (preferred).
