What you'll do

Implement key components of a public cloud platform primarily on AWS.
Develop secure production code and infrastructure automation using Python and Terraform.
Review and debug code written by others to ensure performance and maintainability.
Propose pragmatic architectures and technical standards aligned with firm security and SDLC expectations.
Partner with security and risk stakeholders to deliver compliant solutions and improve observability.
Drive CI/CD improvements including pipeline reliability, quality gates, and repeatable environment provisioning.
Lead the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices and validation standards.
Define safe usage patterns for AI tools to ensure compliance and data security.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 4+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on experience developing and designing software on AWS and GCP, including AWS database services.
Strong practical proficiency in Python and Terraform for building production-grade automation and infrastructure as code.
Advanced knowledge of AWS and GCP services across compute, containerized, and serverless architectures.
Experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted development tools and coaching engineers on responsible AI usage.
Practical experience with SQL and/or NoSQL concepts as applied to managed AWS database services.
Working experience with Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, IntelliJ IDEA, and Visual Studio Code.
Experience with Amazon RDS, reusable Terraform modules, or holding AWS or Terraform certifications (preferred).
