JOB TITLE: Software Engineering Group Mgr - Kubernetes CaaS Platform As a Software Engineering Group Mgr within the Technology organization, you will lead the strategy, architecture, and operational excellence of Kubernetes-based container platforms. You will define the roadmap for container-as-a-service solutions, managing the design and deployment of highly available, secure, and scalable infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. Your daily work involves overseeing product development, converting market requirements into technical specifications for container runtimes, and ensuring developer usability through APIs and documentation. You will utilize technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Jenkins, GitLab CI, and ArgoCD across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will also manage CI/CD pipelines, microservices deployment, and observability tools while enforcing security best practices and optimizing cluster efficiency to meet enterprise SLOs and SLAs.

What you'll do

Define the roadmap and strategy for Kubernetes-based container platforms and container-as-a-service (CaaS) solutions.
Design, deploy, and manage highly available, secure, and scalable containerized infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.
Convert market requirements into technical specifications for container runtime, security, and orchestration.
Establish best practices for CI/CD pipelines, microservices deployment, and observability standards.
Enforce container security best practices, including image scanning, runtime security, and policy enforcement.
Optimize cluster efficiency and resource management to minimize cloud and on-premises expenses.
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineers to promote widespread adoption of container platforms.
Partner with DevOps, security, and networking teams to optimize infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and container runtimes.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
At least 8 years of industry-relevant experience.
At least 5 years of prior management experience.
10+ years in technology with extensive experience leading Container Platform Engineering teams (preferred).
10+ years of expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, CI/CD tools, and platform engineering (preferred).
Strong background in Kubernetes, container orchestration, and DevOps tooling like Helm, ArgoCD, and Jenkins.
Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, or CKS) (preferred).
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or SAFe POPM (preferred).
