Software Engineering Manager, Data and Automation

What you'll do

• Manage a team of software engineers across multiple product lines to ensure predictable delivery and operational excellence.
• Oversee the end-to-end SDLC, including requirements alignment, design, build, testing, release, and support.
• Establish and improve engineering practices such as peer reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD health.
• Lead solution architecture and design decisions while communicating technical trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Manage the development, installation, and maintenance of application programs while ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Mentor and develop staff members to maximize their professional growth and contribution to business needs.
• Oversee the implementation of Java, Spring Boot, and modern DevOps practices for enterprise applications.

What we're looking for

• A bachelor's degree is required, or a comparable combination of education, certifications, and experience.
• Candidates must have at least 5 years of industry-relevant experience.
• At least 3 years of prior management experience is typically required.
• Must possess hands-on Java expertise including modern features for building maintainable enterprise applications.
• Must have strong experience with Spring Boot, including service development, Angular, RESTful APIs, and security patterns.
• Must demonstrate mastery of SDLC disciplines, quality practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Must be proficient in git workflows and branching strategies to support team scale and production safety.
• Ability to lead solution architecture and communicate technical trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
