Software Engineering & Development – Development Lead will join an agile scrum team to contribute to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of an internal platform. The role involves developing, testing, debugging, and implementing software programs and applications on cloud computing. This position requires the ability to gather requirements and develop solutions within the financial sector, specifically addressing business needs related to Mutual funds, Repo, and Collateral industries. The successful candidate will collaborate across multiple teams to solve complex technical and business problems.

What you'll do

  • Develop, test, and debug software enhancements and solutions within business and technical domains.
  • Implement software programs and projects on cloud computing using Python, Java, Spring Boot, and SQL.
  • Design and manage applications independently from conception to implementation.
  • Write unit and automation tests to ensure high-quality end products.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain software standards.
  • Triage production issues by reviewing code and logs to develop solutions.
  • Analyze business requirements to develop technical solutions for the financial sector.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent plus 7 years of commercial software development experience with multi-tier solutions.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent plus 5 years of commercial software development experience with multi-tier solutions.
  • Proven experience developing, testing, debugging, and implementing software programs on cloud computing using Python, Java, and SQL.
  • Experience with Apache Spark on Databricks, Apache Airflow, Cloud Computing, Kubernetes, Kafka AWS, and Spring boot.
  • Proven experience working with an Agile development methodology.
  • Prior experience in the financial services, Mutual fund, Repo, and/or Collateral industry.
  • Ability to gather and understand requirements in the financial sector and develop solutions to business needs.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
