What you'll do

Design and integrate remote connectivity infrastructure including VPNs, VLANs, and secure network configurations for distributed systems.
Configure and tune quality of service parameters for DDS or similar middleware to ensure reliable long-distance communication.
Develop reusable software infrastructure for hosting and orchestrating containerized or virtualized environments across various platforms.
Extend existing protocols to exchange system data, status information, and operational metadata over wide area networks.
Implement software components to monitor, report, and expose the health and performance of remote connectivity links.
Enable high-quality image and video stream transmission using streaming frameworks and GPU-enabled processing pipelines.
Perform continuous testing, automated validation, code reviews, and technical documentation for the remote connectivity infrastructure.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Master's degree or specialized training in robotics, distributed systems, real-time systems, or medical device software development (preferred).
Minimum 3 years of professional software engineering experience with C++ and Python.
Experience designing, integrating, or troubleshooting remote connectivity infrastructure including VPNs, VLANs, routing, firewalls, and secure network configurations.
Experience with DDS or comparable middleware, including configuration and tuning of quality of service parameters for distributed communication.
Experience developing reusable software infrastructure for containerized or virtualized environments such as Docker, Kubernetes, or virtual machines.
Experience with image/video streaming across networks using frameworks like GStreamer, NVIDIA Holoscan, ROS, or DDS.
