Software Engineer, Forward Deployed

What you'll do

• Lead engineering on critical customer projects by owning scope, sequencing, and delivery against high-stakes timelines.
• Ship high-impact features, including new product capabilities and framework gaps like APIs and notifications.
• Partner with core product teams to decide which features to build, push back on, or redirect.
• Shape the long-term platform roadmap by identifying patterns from early customer implementations.
• Communicate directly with customer procurement, finance, and IT teams to diagnose problems live.
• Translate complex customer needs and trade-offs into technical specifications for engineering teams.
• Write and ship production code across the full stack using Python and React/TypeScript.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering or a similar field.
• Strong software engineering skills with experience shipping non-trivial production systems.
• Proficiency in writing and reading code across the stack, specifically Python for backend and React/TypeScript for frontend.
• Demonstrated product instincts and judgment to identify well-scoped requirements and solve the right problems.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Ability to work with speed and urgency while maintaining a high bar for production code quality.
• High ownership and the ability to diagnose and ship solutions with minimal supervision.
• Prior experience as a product or full-stack engineer owning features end-to-end (preferred).
• Prior founder or early-employee experience (preferred).
• Experience with procurement, finance, ERP, or AP automation systems (preferred).
